Just a kid in ohio (unfinished draft)

One day when Elias was four he loved to play sports, but his favorite sport was basketball. When he had some free time he loved to shoot some hoops. Then when he was eight, he joined a basketball team. Elias always dreamed about going to a championship game. He thought one day that he would go to one. His mother called him in for dinner. Elias's favorite basketball player was Larry Bird. Larry was a star at buzzer beaters. And some day Elias would want to make a buzzer beater too.

It was Saturday, Elias's first game. He was so excited. His team was called the TIGERS. It was opening tip and the other team got the ball. Elias stole the ball away from the other team, 2-0. It was the end of the 1st half. The Tigers were trailing at the half, 23-20. The 2nd half was about to start. The Tigers got the ball first. Elias was their point guard. He was dribbling up the court. He was trying to find somebody to pass to when he realized he was open for a 3 pointer. *SWISH* Elias tied the game 23-23. There were two minutes left in the game. It was 40-42. The other team was winning.  Elias was dribbling up the ball. He passed it to Josh he shot the ball and made it nice shot I said to Josh. It was 42-42 Elias was dribbling the ball up he shot the 3 pointer *SWISH*. There was two seconds left. The other team chucked it from half court and missed. We won our first game.

The TIGERS had won 5 games and lost 5. There was a note that was coming in the mail to see if they made it to the playoffs. It was Monday, the worst day of the week because there's five more day's ahead of you. But Elias was so exited about the note coming that he didn't care. When Elias got home from school he looked in the mail box but nothing was there. he said to myself maybe it will come tomorrow. The next day no letter. The next day still no letter. Finally the next day Elias didn't bother to look so he just went inside. A few hour's went by when my mom got home. She looked in the mail box. She saw something it was the letter. She ran inside and said Elias! Elias! the note it's here. I ran down the stairs as fast as I could. I ripped open the letter. We made it to the playoffs. Elias was so exited he ran to all of his friends house spreading it all over. It was Saturday, the playoffs it was opening tip. The Tigers got the ball first. Elias was dribbling the ball up the court. he passed it to Colby he shot and missed. But Patrick got the rebound and made the lay up. 2-0 the other team was dribbling up the court. They shot the ball but J.D blocked it. He caught the ball and scored the lay up. 4-0. It was halftime, the Tigers were up by five. 33-38.

"Hello Neighbor"

Jimmy and his parents were moving.  Jimmy didn't want to move at all, but his dad got a great job in Virginia as a doctor.  His mom was just a stay at home mom who paid bills and knitted a lot.  Jimmy loved sports, like basketball, baseball, and lacrosse.  He had a lot of friends at his old school.  They started to pack up for the long trip that awaited them.  Oh, one last thing, they used to live in Colorado.

When they were on their way to Virginia, his mom started to sing some songs and play games.  She wanted Jimmy to join in but he was too sad.  He left his precious house and his friends.  Jimmy's mom loved souvenirs so they had to stop what seemed to be fifty thousand times.  The car was filled with souvenirs and bags.

Once they got to the house it looked old and creepy, but Jimmy thought it was better than no house at all.  Inside was surprisingly nice, but his dad disagreed.  "It smells like raw sewage in here," his dad said, but Jimmy didn't mind.  He went up to his bedroom unpacked all of his stuff.  But when Jimmy looked outside the window he saw the neighbors next door were moving out.  He ran down the stairs and then walked outside.

A man and woman came running outside and over into their yard not paying any attention to Jimmy and knocked on the door.  Jimmy walked up to them and said, "Excuse me."  They jumped back and their faces were was white as a bunny.  They were shaking as well.  They tried to talk, but couldn't.  After several seconds they finally spit out the words.  "Run!  Get out of your house now!"  Then they ran to their car and drove away as fast as they could.

Jimmy's mom and dad came outside, "What was that all about?" they asked.

"Nothing," said Jimmy.  He ran inside and up to his room and looked out his window.  The curtain next door was moving.  Someone, or something, poked its face out.  Jimmy fell backgrounds, but then jumped back up and looked again.  It was gone!

He ran downstairs to his mom and said, "Mom!  Mom!  We have to leave!"

She said, "Don't be ridiculous.  We just got here."

The next day Jimmy was eating breakfast and getting ready to go to school.  Once he got to his new school he sat down and the teacher came in.  She introduced Jimmy as a new kid.  At lunch he wasn't hungry.  All he could think about was that creepy face.  "Or was it even a clown or maybe a ghost?" He thought.  Once he started thinking about it a little more... "Hey Jimmy."  He looked to the side of him and there was a kid.  "What is your name? Jimmy asked.

"Patrick Smith," the kid said.  "Where do you live?"

"502 21st Street, " Jimmy said.

"Dude!  I live right next to you!  I am in 504 21st St."

"Wait," the more Jimmy thought about it.  "I have to go," said Jimmy.

He took his lunch and walked to recess.  "That's the house that I saw the creepy face at."  Then he started to think about it.  "Wait, the man and the woman were still living there when they left.  And there was no moving trucks or anything."

When it was 4th period, I went over to Patrick when he was doing homework.  I asked him a question.  I told him how many years he has been in that house.  Patrick said six years.  Jimmy got goosebumps.  "And where are your parents," Jimmy asked.

Patrick said, "they're dead."

"Oh no," said Jimmy.

Once I got home, I researched everything on ghosts, but something caught my attention.  This isn't just a ghost.  This is a poltergeist!"

His mom screamed.  Jimmy ran downstairs.  "What mom?!"

She said something was out there stalking us. His mom was going to call 911, but Jimmy stopped her.  "It would be stupid to call the police and say we found a poltergeist in our backyard," Jimmy said.  "They would never believe us.  We have to take this into our own hands."

While his mom was on the floor saying, "It wasn't a ghost.  It wasn't a ghost" Jimmy was going to check things out.

He went to their front yard and started to look at all their windows, but then heard something in the backyard.  Once he got to the backyard something was jumping on a trampoline and it had a dark cloak on.  Jimmy was freaked out.  It stopped jumping.  Jimmy's throat closed up.  It turned around real quick.  Its face was a clown, but it wasn't a human.  It had to be a ghost creature.  It jumped out of the trampoline and started sprinting in an abnormal way.  Then the clown looked up and he smiled.  Jimmy ran inside and locked all doors when he heard a strange voice.  "See you in  your nightmares," the clown laughed hysterically.  Jimmy looked outside, and the clown was gone. But he left a note.  It read: 'You made the wrong choice moving here. Watch your back because I will be there.'

When Jimmy went to bed he kept on having nightmares about the clown.  When he woke up he was as pale as a sheep with sweat dripping down his face.  The clown was in his bedroom that night giving him these nightmares.  When he went downstairs in the morning his mom was asleep.  His dad, who was on call, was still at work.  He got himself breakfast.  When he tried to wake his mom up her eyes were wide open and she was really pale.  He went to the phone and called his dad.  Beep.  It was his voicemail.  Jimmy called 911.  Nothing happened.  The clown cut the electrical wire.  He couldn't call anyone.  He thought the clown must have did this to his mom.  He ran over next door to try and find some help.  He looked at the clown's house and thought, "Wait, that is 500 21st Street.  Patrick is to the left of me."

He went over to Patrick's house. Patrick was waiting for the bus.  "Wait, Patrick" Jimmy said.

"Hey Jimmy" said Patrick.

Jimmy needed help, "My mom's eyes are wide open, but she is not moving."  Patrick called 911 and Jimmy's mom went to the hospital in an ambulance.  Patrick asked what happened.  "The clown did it" Jimmy said.

"What?" said Patrick.

Jimmy said, "Next door to me is a poltergeist.  I know it sounds stupid, but I've seen him many times in my dreams and outside.  He is stalking me."

"Thank gosh," said Patrick.

"What?" said Jimmy.

"I've been seeing that clown as well," said Patrick.  "I thought I was crazy or something."

"We have to figure out what this thing wants and why."

"I'm in," said Patrick.

They were late for school because of this whole clown and mom situation.  "I wonder how she is doing in the hospital" thought Jimmy.  When it was free period Jimmy and Patrick went to the library to find out as much as they could about poltergeists.  "I saw that poltergeists aren't just ghosts.  They basically target someone to haunt.  Which in that case, he is haunting us."

Jimmy looked over and, of course, Patrick was playing a game.  "Patrick!  Stay focussed!"

"Sorry," said Patrick.

Once they got home they started to make a plan.  First they were going to go through the back door of the clown's house.  While Patrick and Jimmy were making the plan up in their bedroom, they did not notice the front door creek open.  Jimmy said, "Did you hear that?"

"No," said Patrick.

Thump!  Someone was coming upstairs.  They ran into the closet.  Patrick kept the door open a crack to see.  They continued to hear footsteps coming closer.  Thump... thump... thump... then it stopped.  They could see a shadow under the bedroom door.  The door knob started to turn.  Then it started rotating very rapidly... side-side, side-side.  The door swung open, but nothing was there.  Patrick was about to open the closet door... "What are you doing?" Whispered Jimmy.

"What?  No one is there," said Patrick.

Jimmy slapped his forehead.  "Idiot!  Patrick, think!  He's a ghost.  A ghost can make himself invisible."  Jimmy realized he said that too loud.  The thumping started to come towards them.  Stuff started falling over.  The clown was laughing hysterically.  He slid the closet door open, but Jimmy and Patrick weren't there.  They were hiding in Jimmy's large suitcase from the move.  Jimmy unzipped the zipper to peek out and he saw that the poltergeist's face was covered in stitches.

"Children, where are you?" The clown said in a sing-songy voice.  He was visible again.

Jimmy whispered to Patrick, "Why isn't he invisible anymore?"

"Probably to terrify us," said Patrick.

"Come out and play-yay," taunted the clown.

Jimmy heard the downstairs door open.  "Jimmy, I'm home."

"Gosh dang it, of course it was my dad," thought Jimmy.  The clown suddenly disappeared.

"This is bad," said Patrick.  "Real bad."

Thump... thump. the clown was going downstairs.  Patrick and Jimmy tiptoed downstairs.  His dad was on the sofa and the clown was behind him.  Jimmy whispered to Patrick, "Go into the garage and get a paint bucket."

"OK" said Patrick.  Jimmy started to Army crawl to the kitchen.  When Patrick game in with the paint bucket he crawled up next to Jimmy.  "What is your plan?" Whispered Patrick.

"You are going to pour all the paint on the clown," said Jimmy.  "So, if he goes invisible we can still see him."

"Then what?"

"Let me finish.  I'm going to get a kitchen knife and stab that gosh darn clown."  They looked around the corner.  The clown had its sharp long fingers out ready to slice his dad's head.  Patrick ran out and poured all the paint on its head.  The clown tried to go invisible, but we could still see him.  "I'm out to play, so let's play," Jimmy said.

He jumped on the clown and started stabbing him in the face and the head.  The clown dropped.  "Nice job, Jimmy," said Patrick.  The clown got back up!  "Watch out," yelled Patrick.  Jimmy turned and stabbed it in the stomach.

His dad jumped up and said, "What the heck just happened?!"

"A long story," said Jimmy.  His mom turned back to normal and they could live their lives from now on clown-free.  Or could they?

The Talking Basketball

Jack loved basketball, but was horrible at it.  His Dad never had time to practice with him.  He was too busy with work.  Jack tried every day, but he couldn't do it.  Jack's Dad signed him up for a basketball team.  Jack was excited, but anxious and scared.  He didn't want to be laughed at when he would dribble off of his foot or miss a layup.

It was Jack's first game.  He couldn't feel his legs.  When he saw how big the other team was he ran outside crying.  His Dad ran out to find him.  He looked everywhere except for this one bush.  He looked around it and there was Jack, hands over his eyes.  His Dad sat next to him.  His Dad said, "Jack, it doesn't matter if you lose or win.  You just have to try your hardest and have fun."  Jack felt better after that.  He went back in there and tried.  They lost, but he had fun.

The next game Jack was not doing good.  He dribbled off of his foot 12 times and missed 6 easy shots.  It was the 3rd quarter with 4 minutes left.  They were down by 12 points.  The ball got flat so they had to get a new one, but we couldn't find one.  One ball rolled onto the floor.  Everybody looked around to see where it came from, but they had no clue.  The ball was perfect.  The Ref said it was fine so they played with that ball.

When Jack started dribbling sloppy, he heard voices.  It was weird.  They weren't voices from other people.  He looked at the ball.  Jack realized THE BALL WAS TALKING!  He panicked.  He wanted to tell the Ref, but no way they would believe him so he kept on playing.  Jack heard the voices.  The ball said, "Jack, listen to me."  Jack didn't want to.  He was so scared.  The ball said, "Jack, you can win this if you listen."

Jack said, "We're losing by 12.  That's impossible.  I'm horrible."

The ball said, "I can help you."

"How?" Said Jack.

"I will give you tips and good advice."

Jack said, "You might give me tips, but not the strength or skill," when all of a sudden Jack felt stronger and better.  "Wait, you did this," said Jack.

"Yes," said the basketball.

The basketball said to cross over once, then through the legs, and behind the back.  Jack dribbled up to the player and did the move.  The player fell.  Now he drove to the basket for a layup.  They were down by 10 now.

The basketball said, "When he switches it to his left hand steal it.  He can't use his left hand."  When he switched, Jack stole the ball.  He was running down the court, but there was a huge guy down low.  Jack couldn't make the layup so he pulled up for 3 and swished it.  Jack was amazing.  His Dad jumped up and cheered!  The whole place was on fire, everybody yelling and screaming for Jack.

Jack passed to his friend Ricky, then Ricky made the layup.  They were down by 5.  The underdogs were coming back.  The basketball told him to do a reverse layup.  Jack had no clue how to do that.  The basketball said, "Don't worry, it's just like a layup but on the other side.  Jack nodded.  He drove, bounced off the big guy and  reached out his arm, flicked the wrist, and it went in.  Down by 3.  Jack was so excited.

"Oh, no" Jack said.  The big guy was rushing down the court.  The ball said in his mind to swipe low.  Jack got down on the block and swiped.  The ball came loose.  He grabbed it and ran down the court with 5 seconds left.  He shot the 3 and got fouled.  The ball swished.  Jack just had to make the free throw.  He was so nervous but the ball said to believe in himself, so he did.  He shot and it rattled in.  They won the game, YAY!

Jack's Dad rushed down and gave Jack a hug.  He said, "I'm so proud of you," and the ball was too.  Jack brought the ball home and he practiced every day with his ball and the ball lead him to a championship.

The End.

The Babysitter

It was a typical evening. Mr. and Mrs. Green where going on a date. They had to get a babysitter for Tommy. Tommy was only 6 months old. They hired a sweet babysitter named Rose.

At 8:00 Rose arrived. The parents said good-bye, and then left. Then Rose said "Tommy, it's time for bed." She went up stairs to tuck Tommy in, but when she was tucking him in she looked at the window and there was a creepy clown with a knife. She screamed and looked at Tommy. Then when she looked back the clown was gone.

When the parents got back, Rose said that their house was haunted. She said that she saw a clown in the window, but the parents said they didn't have any windows in that room. Then she thought it must have been a mirror. That meant that the clown was in the house behind her stalking her with a knife.

They'd forgotten about Tommy. They raced up the stairs and Tommy was gone. They ran back down stairs. The clown had killed Tommy. Then they saw the clown in the window again, but it was another mirror. They looked behind them. There was the clown with a knife and sharp teeth watching them . . .

The Clock Man

One day I was playing basketball when I realized I was late for school. I ran to school as fast as my legs could go. When I got to the school I was ten minutes late. "Man, time sucks” I said. I also said that time was boring and stupid. An old and creepy lady said, "don’t make him mad.” "What?” I said. She said that time is not a thing, it is a he. I didn’t listen to the weird lady, I mean who would? When I got home from school I started on my homework, but realized that I had to go to my tutor. ”Time sucks” I said again.

After I got back from my tutor it was 9 o'clock. I was tired so I went to bed. I kept on dreaming about time and I had nightmares about time. Finally, when I woke up I tried to find my mom. I went to my parents bedroom but only my dad was in there. I pulled him out of the covers. He was old and grey and wrinkly. I was so scared I woke him up and asked, "Where's mom?" He said that she died 2 years ago. I ran outside crying not knowing what to do. But then I saw the same old lady. I ran over to her and asked, "What did you mean about time is not a thing, it is a he? She said if you make him mad he can change time. She said that he has a clock for a face and a man's body. She also said he lives in a mountain up in the south if I want to get my mother back.

I started walking south. I couldn't believe that this was happening. Finally I looked up and there was the mountain. I started running and crying at the same time, but for some reason I couldn't run. I started to get all wrinkly and old. Wait a second, he knew that I was coming! He changed time so I got old and couldn’t make it up the mountain. Finally when I got to the mountain I was so tired I didn't think I could make it. But with all my might I started up the mountain.

Finally I got to the top. I rested for a long time. Finally I got up and started looking for a house or a door. Finally I saw a door. I started heading toward the door. When I got there I snuck into the door. I saw all of the souls who were lost because he changed the time. I saw him sleeping and waiting for me, so I tip toed in. I saw my mom's soul. I walked toward it and got it. I was going out the door when he stopped me. I tried to run but he got a good grip on my arm. He threw me to the other side of the room. He was about to change time and kill me but the old woman came in tackling the clock man. Then she held him, punched his clock, and he was dead. All the souls went back to all of the children and so did mine.

The weird bedroom

It was a nice day outside and the Clarks were moving to Florida , but Nicky didn't want to move. She loved her old house.  Besides, her new house was boring. It was two more day's until she would move. She packed all of her stuff in boxes. Now it was one more day until she left. She wanted to go into the woods.  When she got  there she saw something far away.  She could see a white figure walking around. She changed her mind about going into the woods. When she got back home they were calling for her.  Every thing was in the car ready to go.

When she got to her new house she unpacked her stuff. She didn't like the house because all of the rooms were dusty and dirty. But it was weird because there was one room that was really clean and pretty. She got suspicious and checked all of the other rooms.  They were all dusty and dirty. Her mother said you can pick your room to sleep in.  Nicky did not want to sleep in the pretty clean room. She was still suspicious. She slept downstairs.  It was really painful.

In the morning she got on her computer and looked at house ghosts. Then she heard a *thump*.  She ran upstairs.  She opened the door but nothing was there. She wanted to know what was in that room.  That night she wanted to sleep in the pretty clean room, so then she would know if something was in there or someone. That night she saw nothing but then, when she got up, a vase was throne to the ground but nothing hit the vase.

That morning she was freaking out!  She didn't now what to do. Then she got an idea.  She put cameras on the walls. When it was morning she checked the camera's and it was a ghost, but the ghost was familiar.  It was the ghost in the woods!  She wanted to get out of the house right now but her mother was at the food market.

So she tried to put an end to the ghost. She would set a trap. She would put a devise that when it comes in to the room it would activate the devise and a net would spring a net right at the ghost.  The trap was ready.  She heard something coming up the stairs.  She was ready to push the button, but she didn't because it was her mom.

So then a another day went by and she heard something coming up the stairs.  Then the door opened. It was the white ghost.  She pushed the button and the net sprang out on to him.  The ghost said "hey!" and she realized that it was a friendly ghost.  She took the net off of him. Then they became friends.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       The End

Zombies vs Humans

Me and my Dad were going to the movie theater.  We got in the car and drove off to the movie theater.  At the theater we gave the guy our tickets and got a snack and it was popcorn.  Then we went into the theater.  It was a really good movie, but then all of a sudden a big zombie ripped through the screen and said, "I WILL EAT YOUR BRAINS!"  We all scurried out of the theater.  We ran into our cars and drove home.

The next day was Tuesday.  I was going to school.  I said "Yippee" in a sad voice and then the day went on.  First we did math, then social studies, then lunch, then gym.  It was a disaster.  Then all the kids went home.  When I got home I played with the neighborhood kids.  We played football.  It was fun.  It was tackle football.  I had the most fun of my life, but then all of a sudden the same zombie from the theater appeared and said, "I WILL EAT YOUR BRAINS!"

We all ran into my house.  We got a metal bat for all of us.  We all ran out the door and hit him.  We knocked his head off.  It was so scary!  Then there were more coming.  We went into my house again.  We got more weapons.  We fought zombies one by one.  Then they were all gone.  "Oh no!" I said, "There are 1000 zombies coming.  This is bad!  Let's get the location of the zombies."  We got the location.  It was a zombie portal and they are going in this cave that has weapons.  "Oh no!" I said, "We got a zombie army to take down!"

We got armor, bows and arrows, and diamond swords.  We gathered a million kids and weapons.  "We can take these zombies down!"  I said.  We went to the portal.  We brought a cracking code device.  We used it and the portal was gone.  Then we went to the cave and we saw all of the zombies.  We ran in and yelled, "FOR LIFE!"  We sliced heads and cut open lungs.  They were all gone, but then there was a big ogre.  We got a bazooka and fired it at the big ogre.  He exploded into a million pieces.
